Asplenium ruta-muraria
wall rue
A small, evergreen perennial fern that grows up to 15cm in height, often found in rocky crevices and old walls. It has delicate, green fronds that emerge in a loose rosette pattern from the base. Each leaflet is rounded and slightly lobed, almost fan-shaped, resembling the leaves of rue (Ruta graveolens), from which the plant gets its name. The edges of the leaflets may be gently scalloped or notched, whilst the undersides often bear clusters of spores arranged in elongated, curved lines
