A dense, compact, bushy, clump-forming deciduous shrub to around 180cm in height, with maple-shaped green palmate leaves turning to fiery red in the autumn. Flat, white lace-cap flowerheads are produced in late spring, and are followed by glossy, red berries in late summer to autumn
