Tuberous-rooted perennial to about 1m tall, with dark stems and dark green leaves. Very large flowers, 22-25cm across, produced from midsummer until the first frost, are very dark red, almost black, with a velvety sheen to the long, pointed petals, rolled under at the edges, creating a spiky effect

How to Grow

Cultivation

Pruning
