A dense, upright, evergreen shrub to around 1.5m tall with small, rounded, variegated foliage; in spring and summer purple to bronze-flushed dark green leaves have cream to pink-coloured narrow margins whilst the lower temperatures of autumn to winter cause leaf colour to change to a deep purplish-red with red margins

Cultivation
Grow outdoors in neutral to slightly acidic, moist but well-drained soil in a sheltered position. Grow under glass in a peat-free, loam-based potting compost with added grit in bright, filtered light with good ventilation
