A compact, bushy shrub with large, oval, dark green leaves. The domed flower-heads are produced from late spring until mid-autumn, on both old wood and new shoots. Opening as a typical lacecap, with a ring of large, double, white, outer florets surrounding small, pale green buds they later become more like a mophead as the buds open to small, double florets. Flower-heads may turn light green, then red in autumn
