Compact, clump-forming, tuberous perennial about 70-90cm tall, with dark green serrated leaves. This cactus form has fully-double, spikey-petalled, soft lemon-yellow flowers to 11cm across, which bloom on long, sturdy, upright stems from midsummer through until the first frosts of autumn

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants and stake taller dahlias, see staking perennials. Propagation

Propagate by softwood cuttings taken in spring from shoots from stored tubers, or divide the tubers ensuring each division has a viable bud

Pruning
