A tall, tuberous-rooted perennial to about 1.1m, with dark stems and mid-green foliage. The semi-double flowers, produced from mid-summer to the first frosts, are 12cm across, peachy-pink, shading to yellow in the centre, with some petals flicked and curved, revealing the dark pink undersides

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil, enriched with organic matter, in full sun. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants and stake – see staking perennials. Propagation

Propagate by softwood cuttings taken in spring from shoots from stored tubers, or divide the tubers, ensuring each section has at least one viable bud
