A small, upright, elegant evergreen shrub with a bamboo-like habit to around 1.5m in height, with compound leaves and lanceolate leaflets. These are bright yellow-green becoming darker in winter. Small white flowers in large panicles may appear in summer, but this plant is mainly grown for its foliage
