An evergreen shrub to 1.5m high and across. The leaves are shiny yellow-green and tri-foliate, with the central leaflet larger than the other two. These are smaller and slightly overlap the main one. The leaflets are quite round with a slight notch at the tip. The flowers are in clusters of pale yellow-green and become (on female plants if a male is also grown) red-brown berries.
