A semi-evergreen shrub to around 80cm (31.5in). Growth is upright, bushy with dark-green leaves that clasp the stems. In summer it produces an abundance of bright yellow flowers with prominent stamens. These are followed in autumn by clusters of oval, red fruit set atop a green calyx.
