A mat-forming, evergreen succulent producing fleshy rosettes to 12.5cm across, the spoon-shaped dark burgundy-red leaves tipped and edged grey-green, the colours changing in shape and intensity through the seasons. Tall spikes of starry pink flowers produced from mature rosettes, die off after flowering in summer and are replaced by new offsets

Cultivation
