A tall, tuberous-rooted perennial to about 1.2m, with mid-green foliage. Flowers up to 15cm across, produced from mid-summer to the first frost, are a delicate mix of pale yellow and pale pink. As the outer petals open the edges roll under, creating a sunburst effect

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in full sun, in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter and general-purpose fertiliser. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants. Water freely in dry periods. Propagation

Propagate by softwood cuttings taken in spring from shoots from stored tubers, or divide the tubers, ensuring each section has at least one viable bud

Pruning
