An early-season, cooking apple, conical in shape with ribbed sides. The yellow skin is flushed on the sunny side with orange-red, and the pale yellow flesh is firm and juicy with a sweet-sharp flavour. A very hardy, spreading tree producing heavy crops but tending to biennial bear; requires a pollinator from group 1, 2 or 3. Fruit is ready to pick late summer and keeps until mid-autumn
