'Red Wonder' is an upright, dense, evergreen shrub to around 2m tall. Small, oblong, glossy, dark green leaves with silvery-white undersides are held on wiry, twisted stems. Mildly fragrant, star-shaped yellow flowers are borne from mid spring to early summer and followed by small, egg-shaped, deep red fruits
