A compact perennial bulb with broadly lance shaped, greyish-green leaves. This Greigii tulip has single, cup-shaped flowers; buds are feathered from golden yellow at the base to red at the margins, and open to show strong scarlet flaming on the insides of the tepals. It flowers in mid spring and stands to about 30cm high
