A late, dessert apple, with red-flushed, golden skin, scattered with russet netting and patches. At its best, the white flesh is firm with a sweet-sharp, spicy flavour, but it can be chewy and dull. Vigorous trees produce a light crop in mid-autumn, storing into late winter. Requires a group 3, 4 or 5 pollinator

How to Grow

Cultivation

Prefers deep, fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral soil in a sunny, sheltered position. Will not thrive on very acid soils, shallow chalk soils or with shade for more than half the day. May require fruit thinning to improve fruit size and quality. See apple cultivation
