A long-lived perennial grown for its edible young shoots called spears. This is a mid season variety which can be harvested in spring, then allowed to grow on, producing tall stems with airy, feathery foliage which may need support. This is a reliably all male cultivar with good yields of green spears

How to Grow

Cultivation

Propagate from bought crowns. Propagation from seed is possible, but seedlings take longer and may not be 100% male cultivars which produce fewer but thicker spears
