A small, evergreen shrub reaching around 1m in height with green and white variegated compound leaves with lanceolate leaflets. These emerge red, turning to pink on the white sections of the variegation and then maturing to green and white, giving four colours at once. Occasionally, sprays of small white flowers appear but it is grown primarily for its foliage
