A clump-forming, evergreen perennial, with delicate, creeping stems that hang downwards. Pointed, oval-shaped, foliage with bristly hairs is green, with irregular pale yellow to pale purple stripes and yellow-green to purple undersides. Small white flowers may appear at any time of the year
