An upright houseplant with large, shield-shaped, glossy green indented leaves with deeply lobed edges which become more indented as they mature. May produce spathes of green-white flowers when mature. Although more compact than other varieties, this one is not a climber or trailer and may therefore require support. A great plant for using en mass as a living curtain and also as an air purifier

How to grow

Cultivation

Grow in standard houseplant compost in bright, filtered or indirect light. Mist daily. During the growing season, water freely and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly; water moderately at other times. Repot every 2-3 years. See Philodendron and houseplant cultivation for further advice
