RHS An endangered, slow-growing, dwarf, evergreen, woody shrub, endemic to the Island of Mauritius, to around 40cm in height, with narrow, leathery, glossy dark green toothed foliage. Bell-shaped, lilac-blue flowers have dark, blood-red centres which change to yellow to attract pollinators (geckos) as the flowers mature. Rare in cultivation and generally available to collectors only
