A dwarf, clump-forming, semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial to around 50cm in height, with arching, strap-shaped green leaves. Velvety dark red to black flowers with a green throat appear from late summer through to early autumn

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil preferably in full sun. Flowering is likely to be poor in shadier situations. Tolerant of heavy clay and poorer soils. Propagate by division in early spring or early autumn
