A dense, clump-forming rhizomatous perennial to around 30cm in height, with basal rosettes of lobed and toothed bright green leaves. Large, semi-double, drooping yellow flowers with a red calyx appear on dark red stems from May through to October

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Avoid areas that are waterlogged over winter. Divide every three years or so to maintain vigour
