A rare, heritage variety of banana-shaped squash to around 45cm in length, with pink-orange skin and blue-green tips. The smooth, sweet orange flesh is delicious roasted, fried or used for sweet and savoury pies. Sow in early spring for summer to autumn harvesting. Stores well for up to six months, becoming sweeter the longer they are stored. Originally grown by the Cherokee Indians in South Eastern USA
