A neat, compact, clump-forming, deciduous, herbaceous perennial to a height of around 70cm with green, arching, strap-like leaves. Rounded heads of elongated, almost-black buds open to vibrant, violet-blue flowers on upright, slender black stems from early summer through to autumn. Generally more hardy over winter than other varieties and can left in the ground in milder areas

How to Grow

Cultivation
