A deciduous, tuberous perennial, to about 90cm in height, with green foliage. Dark red flowers fading to pale coffee towards the petal edges, appear on dark red stems from July through to November. A great choice for beds and borders and for cutting. Voted Dahlia of the Year 2026

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants and stake taller dahlias, see staking perennials. Propagate by softwood cuttings taken in spring from shoots from stored tubers, or Divide the tubers ensuring each division has a viable bud

Pruning
