An upright, bushy, semi-evergreen to evergreen sub-shrub to around 80cm in height, with small, hairy green foliage and a neat habit. Masses of hibiscus-like dark red flowers appear from summer through to autumn. Perfect as a patio container plant, or as part of a bedding scheme, flowering from May through until December and sometimes beyond. A great choice for butterflies and bees

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in well-drained soil in full sun. It may survive outdoors in a sunny, sheltered spot in mild areas as this variety is hardy down to around -5 ºC, but normally grown in a cool greenhouse for summer bedding or as a patio plant

Propagate by seed in spring or by semi-ripe cuttings with bottom heat in summer
