A clump-forming, deciduous herbaceous perennial to around 85cm with dark green foliage. Double flowers open to pale pink in the spring, becoming paler and turning white in the centre with a few red streaks on the petal edges. The flowers are dome-shaped to start with then become more loose, revealing golden yellow stamens

How to Grow

Cultivation

Best in a deep, fertile, humus-rich soil that is moist but well-drained in a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade. May need support (see staking perennials). See herbaceous peony cultivation
