A tip-bearing, very spreading apple tree noted for its showy sping blossom and heavy crops so fruit thinning is advised. Medium-sized apples are round to oval with a yellow base colour flushed and striped with bright orange-red with some russetting. The yellow flesh is juicy and very crunchy with a sharp-sweet flavour and apples store well, keeping for up to 16 weeks in cold storage

How to Grow

Cultivation

Prefers deep, fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral soil in a sunny sheltered position. Will not thrive on very acid soils, shallow chalk soils or with shade for more than half the day. May require fruit thinning to improve fruit size and quality. See apple cultivation
