A large, mid-season, cooking apple, with green skin becoming yellow with a red blush, and white flesh cooking to a sharp, fruity puree. A rather weak, very compact tree produces heavy crops in early autumn, the fruit storing to late autumn. Partially self-fertile, but crops better with a group 2, 3 or 4 pollinator

How to Grow

Cultivation

Prefers deep, fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral soil in a sunny, sheltered position. Will not thrive on very acid soils, shallow chalk soils or with shade for more than half the day. May require fruit thinning to improve fruit size and quality. See apple cultivation
