Asters for rock gardens

Some asters originate from upland and mountain areas of Europe and Asia, making them ideal for rock gardens. Species suitable for rock gardens have a compact growth habit, can withstand low temperatures and need very good drainage. Making raised beds or rockeries allows you to create conditions that provide the drainage they need.
