Objectives and purpose of the trial

This trial will focus on small fruited tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum), which are productive, versatile and ideal for containers or gardens with limited space. It will run across three sites: RHS Garden Bridgewater in Greater Manchester, RHS Garden Rosemoor in Devon and behind the scenes at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey. The RHS Trials team will assess and record the performance of new cultivars introduced since the last tomato trial in 2017. The best performers will be recognised with the RHS Recommended: Award of Garden Merit.
