Ready, Set, Glow: The RHS is lighting up their five iconic gardens this festive season

Visitors can experience all five RHS Gardens after dark with spectacular light trails, seasonal sounds, shopping and festive cheer.

This winter, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is celebrating the festive season with the return of its spectacular RHS Glow. From 19 November – 4 January, the UK’s leading garden charity will light up its five iconic gardens for an unforgettable Christmas experience.

The enchanting illuminations will return with reimagined routes, celebrating the  RHS gardens most spectacular vistas and transforming the beloved landscapes into magical winter wonderlands. Visitors can discover illuminated fountains, glowing tree canopies and favourite garden features in a whole new light, alongside seasonal food and drink, Christmas shopping and festive family entertainment.

RHS Garden Rosemoor, North Devon: Selected dates between 21 November – 30 December

Plenty of festive fun is to be had at RHS Garden Rosemoor this winter, as the Devon garden is lit up for an enchanting evening experience. The updated route has a host of sparkling new features and, for the first time, weaves through the redesigned Winter Garden, where shimmering trees and light installations create the perfect winter wonderland. Festive shopping and warming seasonal treats at the Garden Restaurant, Otter Cafe, and Shepherd’s Rest takeaway complete the perfect family evening under the stars.

RHS Garden Harlow Carr, North Yorkshire: Selected dates between 19 November – 23 December

Take an enchanted walk at RHS Garden Harlow Carr this Christmas and see the garden in a new light. A reimagined trail provides a host of perfect picture opportunities and magical moments across the garden landscape, including the breathtaking Thaliana Bridge, casting reflections across the Queen Mother’s Lake.   Visitors can warm themselves with delicious seasonal treats in the cosy Harrogate Arms Café, and shop for Christmas gifts from the finest regional craftspeople in the Garden’s Bath House and retail centre.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Essex: Selected dates between 21 November – 27 December  

Families can explore a twinkling new trail around RHS Garden Hyde Hall, which for the first time features the stunning Robinson Garden.  Highlights include illuminated bridges, glowing vistas and the Winter Garden, where the willow sculptures come alive with festive cheer. After exploring the dazzling lights, visitors can enjoy a warming cup of mulled wine or cider, festive treats from lakeside cabins and seasonal shopping.

RHS Garden Bridgewater, Salford: Selected dates between 26 November – 30 December

This Christmas, the whole family can enjoy a magical evening at RHS Garden Bridgewater with RHS Glow. Visitors can wander through the Western Walled Garden, where each room will provide a glowing gallery of light and shadow, and discover brand-new immersive light installations that will illuminate the iconic garden in entirely new ways. There will be plenty of seasonal cheer with Christmas shopping opportunities, music, and delicious food and drink.

RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey: Selected dates between 21 November 2025 – 4 January 2026 (excl. 24–26 December)

RHS Glow will return to the world-renowned Surrey Garden like never before in 2025. Visitors will enjoy an extended magical, winter light show as more of the garden's iconic sights are transformed with mesmerising installations.  The illuminated Glasshouse Lake and the spectacular grand finale at the Jellicoe Canal return once again as beloved annual favourites, continuing to enchant visitors.  Guests can enjoy a host of seasonal snacks and hearty treats from festive chalets or tuck into a delicious festive meal at the Glasshouse kitchen. Christmas gifts galore are also available in the Plant Centre and Gift Shop.
