The RHS is Dishing Up a Delicious Programme of Events with the Plot to Plate Festival

The Royal Horticultural Society is celebrating the harvest time with a month-long celebration across all five gardens with delicious demonstrations, seasonal markets and edible garden tours.

This Autumn, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is dishing up a jam-packed programme of events across all five RHS Gardens with a celebration of Plot to Plate. Running on selected dates between 6 September – 12 October, visitors can sink their teeth into a host of fantastic foodie events to celebrate all things cooking and growing.

The month-long celebration will feature a host of live cookery demonstrations, food markets, edible garden tours, and family entertainment, along with plenty of expert advice on growing your own. RHS Garden Harlow Carr, North Yorkshire:  6-7 September

Visitors can enjoy celebrating Plot to Plate at RHS Garden Harlow Carr with a mouth-watering programme of cookery demonstrations, tantalising talks, delicious street food and family entertainment. The weekend will be stuffed with culinary inspiration, with a host of local food producers and plant nurseries, talks from experts, including Sam Hamrebtan from The Life Larder and guided tours of the spectacular Kitchen Garden. Live music, street food vendors and hands-on children’s cooking activities make for the ideal family day out.

 RHS Garden Bridgewater, Greater Manchester: 13– 21 September  

To celebrate all things Plot to Plate,  RHS Garden Bridgewater will host a jam-packed schedule of cookery demonstrations and kitchen garden tours for foodie family fun. The iconic Salford Garden will have plenty for visitors to sink their teeth into including guided foraging and orchard and fruit tree tours, and plate decoration workshops, the perfect ingredients for an ideal autumnal day out.

 RHS Garden Rosemoor, North Devon: 4-5 October

RHS Garden Rosemoor is serving up family entertainment, cooking demonstrations, and seasonal treats for a weekend-long celebration of the Plot to Plate. The beautiful North Devon Garden will celebrate the region's heritage with apple identifications, displays and tastings, provide plenty of inspiration with edible garden tours and host a fascinating programme of talks. Visitors can enjoy a perfect seasonal day out with delicious food, live music, and an autumn craft and food fair. Hands-on activities from The Kids Adventure Company, including s’more making and flower crown crafts and horse logging demonstrations, complete the family fun.

RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey: 8-12 October 

RHS Garden Wisley is marking the Plot to Plate with a feast of autumnal activities. Those looking to indulge in something delicious to eat can visit the famous Seven Acres, which will transform into a food and drink market where visitors can enjoy the season's spectacular colours alongside a fantastic selection of food and drink. For those looking for culinary inspiration, the Hilltop Garden Room stage will be packed with fascinating talks, demonstrations and the best advice on growing and eating. Visitors can also enjoy tours of the iconic World Food Garden with RHS experts, live music and a plant nursery market.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Essex: 3-5 October

Autumn competitions, tasty treats and fantastic cooking demonstrations are on the menu at RHS Garden Hyde Hall during its fantastic three-day Plot to Plate celebration. Across the weekend, food lovers can enjoy guided tours of the vast Global Growth Vegetable Garden, learn top tips from talented chefs and local food producers and browse the food market for delicious tipples, artisanal cheeses, oil, spices and more. Visitors can browse the RHS Autumn competition, with 150 classes showcasing everything from delicious apples to winter squash and autumn flowers and foliage for a quintessential autumn experience.
