Children’s activities at RHS Badminton 2026
Enjoy a brilliant family day out at RHS Badminton Flower Show, where there’s plenty to keep younger visitors entertained
With tickets for under 16s free, RHS Badminton Flower Show is a great day out for families. As well as enjoying a day in the open air, seeing the gardens and growers at the beautiful historic South Gloucestershire venue, there’s also plenty of activities to keep younger gardeners busy. From hands-on play and creative crafts to story-telling and face painting, children can get stuck into fun, nature-inspired activities while exploring the show.
Brambly Hedge
The fairytale world of Brambly Hedge takes over the Family Area at the show, with a whole host of activities inspired by the beloved mice. Decorate a leaf to be part of the big Brambly Hedge tree, with the opportunity to win some Brambly Hedge goodies. You can even pretend to be your very own Brambly Hedge character with dress up and face painting, before taking a picture with the mouse models. If you’re looking for some downtime, snuggle up and read your favourite Brambly Hedge tale, with live readings on Saturday and Sunday.
Forest School with Westonbirt Arboretum
Join a session with Westonbirt, The National Arboretum: using natural materials collected from around the gardens, all ages can explore textures, create nature-inspired art and build mini sculptures.
Outdoor Games by Jaques of London
Jaques of London is the world’s oldest games company, founded in 1795. For over 230 years, they have been crafting beautifully made, heirloom-quality games designed to bring families together, and more recently, expanding into a full catalogue of wooden toys for the little ones too. Find their classic lawn games in the Family Area, including our XL Tumble Tower, Quoits Set, and Wooden Number Skittles, all designed to get families playing together, screen-free, in the fresh air.
Live Love Local Wheelbarrows
See what local schools and community groups have created in our Wheelbarrows category, with the theme of Live Love Local. From historic architecture to local green spaces, each of these wheelbarrow designs expresses what these groups love about their local area through the power of plants.
