Hope on the Horizon represents the complex and progressive path towards recovery experienced by wounded, injured and sick personnel, veterans and their families. The Help for Heroes charity inspires, enables and supports those heroes during their recovery.
Granite blocks represent the soldiers’ physical being and the planting represents their mental health. Both evolve through the garden from rough, unfinished, over-grown beginnings through to a perfectly sawn, structured end. An avenue of hornbeams leads to a sculpture resembling a hopeful horizon.
Cool, calming colours are used throughout creating a serene, contemplative space. The planting flows from white through to blues and purples.
