If you'd like to learn the basics of garden design so that you can create a garden that will enhance your home and lifestyle, then this new 6 day introductory course is for you. Marilyn Elm, an experienced and enthusiastic Garden History and Design tutor, aims to bring out your creativity, and to guide you through all the practical issues and processes that are needed to deliver a successful garden design. The course is an excellent taster, for those considering garden design as a career. This course will run as a series of six days, and will include inspirational, illustrated presentations, discussion and practical exercises. If you'd like to put what you've learnt into practice at home, there will be some optional homework activities after each session. You may bring in a sample of your own soil for the first session.
