An event to celebrate the lifecycle of wood. There will be all sorts happening over the weekend to keep everybody busy. Norsey Woodland Craft will be demonstrating chain sawing, pole lathing and mushroom carving. Essex Association of Wood Carvers will be showcasing their talent with their latest craft on display. For the family there will be papermaking workshops taking place thought the day so come and make your very own paper as well as the opportunity to make other small wooden objects. If peg making is your thing, Wayside Woodcrafts will be at the event demonstrating the traditional way of making tent pegs and gypsy pegs. Local willow weaver, Deb Hart, will also be on hand showcasing her talent of willow weaving. Our Hyde Hall Estate team will be giving talks and walks on Hyde Hall woodlands and how we are creating our own woodland. Majestic Trees will be on hand to give talks and advice on how and what to grow in your garden. Hawthorn Heavy Horses will be demonstrating horse logging and you will have the opportunity to see these beautiful horses in action on both days. For the 2nd year running we will be brewing our Hyde Hall beer with Brentwood Brewery using our Hyde Hall hops. Come and have a taste and see whether it is a better brew that last year. D'ukes ukulele band will be performing both days. Burger and Beyond will be serving award winning burgers. There will also be a range of autumnal food and goods in the main marquee.
