Explore the life and works of this genre defining author and disscover how she helped to shape the history of gardening for women in the 19th century, at our free lunchtime show and tell.

Join our Rare Books Librarian as we explore the world of Jane Louden. From a pioneer of science fiction (with her book The Mummy!) to a prominant voice within horticulture, writing an array of books aiming to empower women to try their hand at gardening.

Our informal show and tells offer a 15 minute introduction to the treasures of our Library collection to liven up your lunch break. No need to book, just drop in. RHS membership not required.

The show and tell begins at 1.15pm. Come early to browse our collection of modern titles and changing book displays.
