Roses are one of Britain's most popular garden flowers and correct pruning is essential to their success. This course will focus on shrub, hybrid tea and floribunda roses and RHS gardeners will demonstrate the correct pruning techniques to allow each one to reach its full potential. Participants will also have the chance to get hands on and prune some of Wisley’s shrub roses. Climbers and ramblers will be discussed but not demonstrated.   

Location: Outside in the Garden 

Tutor: Oliver Ongley - RHS Formal Team 

Arrival: The meeting point will be just outside of the Garden Entrance.

  • Gardening gloves and secateurs, if you have them

  • This course will take place entirely outdoors so please come suitably dressed for the weather
