If you are new to gardening, this is the course for you. Over two days we will take you through the basics and grow your knowledge from the ground up. Subjects introduced will include: plant types, growth and structure, planting and plant care, basic propagation, ground cultivation, growing media, pruning, lawn care, feeding and watering. By the end of the course you will have a solid grounding in gardening basics and be equipped with the fundamental techniques to start your gardening journey.

The course will involve some lecture-based sessions and some indoor and outdoor practical sessions. Please come prepared with appropriate clothing, footwear and gardening gloves if you have them.

Day 1: Saturday 11 July
Day 2: Saturday 25 July

Location: Hilltop Learning Studios

Tutor: Caroline Jackson

Catering: Tea, coffee and a light lunch will be provided
