Understanding your soil is the first step towards successful gardening and this course is designed to help you get your soil working better for you. Learn about the texture and chemical balance of your soil and discover ways you can optimise these to promote happy, healthy plants.

Please bring a sample of soil from your garden (about a trowel full) in a sealed bag for testing.

Tutor: Louise Grimwood - RHS Horticultural Educator

Location: Hilltop Learning Studios 

Catering: Tea and coffee on arrival. You are welcome to bring along a packed lunch or visit one of Wisley’s cafes to purchase food/refreshments. 

To Bring with You: 

  • Your booking reference number 
  • A pen/pencil and notebook for notes 
  • A sample of soil from your garden (about a trowel full) in a sealed bag for testing.
  • All tools and material will be provided
