Climbers and wall shrubs are an essential part of a garden but do need some maintenance to ensure they grow and flower at their best. You will be shown the principles of pruning and will learn how to decide when your climbers need attention. We will look at a wide range of different climbers and wall shrubs during this session, including wisteria and clematis. This is an opportunity to find out how to ensure your arches and pergolas are filled with blossom every year.

Please bring with you:
  • Your booking reference number
  • A notebook and pencil to make notes
  • Camera or mobile phone for photos if you wish
Please wear clothes and footwear suitable for the weather on the day as this workshop will include both indoor and outdoor walks and activities. It can be very cold at this time of year and you will be standing in one place for much of the time.

Please note: Roses will not be covered.

Tutor: Jonathan Hutchinson, RHS Garden Team
