A Year in your Garden Spring - Seasonal Gardening Tasks

Are you keen to do the right thing in your garden but not sure what to do when? Then, A Year in your Garden Spring is the course for you!
This series of seasonal standalone workshops will increase your knowledge of the gardening activities that need to be carried out in each season to ensure your plants grow healthily and you can keep on top of gardening tasks.
Hannah Houlding, a member of the RHS Rosemoor Curatorial Team, will take you on a seasonal whistle-stop tour of techniques, tips, tricks and advice about what tasks to do in spring. You will be shown a number of practical demonstrations during this guided garden walk.
Spring topics include – planting and dividing perennials, basic shrub pruning, cutting back and tidying your plants after the winter, plus other topics of seasonal interest.

Tutor: Hannah Houlding has been part of the Curatorial team at RHS Rosemoor for 2 years, starting as a student with the Nursery and Propagation team and now working as a horticulturalist with Lady Anne's team. Hannah is particularly interested in plants from the Mediterranean, aiming to explore how we can adapt our plant selection and cultivation techniques for climate resilient gardens.

Location and arrival information: The tutor will meet you on the Visitor Centre terrace and the workshop will take place entirely outside in the garden. Please allow 15 minutes to park in the main visitor car park, enter the garden assemble on the Visitor Centre terrace.

Catering: This workshop does not include catering. You are welcome to visit the onsite catering before or after your workshop. Full details of the available outlets and what they offer are on the RHS Rosemoor Food and Drink page of the RHS website.
