Join RHS Garden Hyde Hall’s enthusiastic Curator Ian Le Gros, for a guided seasonal garden walk stopping to chat to the knowledgeable garden team along the way! Enjoy the splendour of summer and the freshness of the new season’s growth. Learn about the plants that put on a show at this time of year as you take a gentle stroll around the garden.

Tutor: Ian Le Gros has been working in the gardens before it was owned by the RHS so there are few people with more information to share. He has gone from knowing nothing about gardening to Head of Site and has had a hand in the creation of many iconic features of Hyde Hall such as The Dry Garden.

Arrival Information:
  • The meeting point for this session is at front of house, in the Welcome Building. Please arrive in good time to register your arrival.
For this workshop:
  • The workshop is based on a walk-and-talk format; therefore, we advise dressing appropriately for the weather.
  • We encourage bringing a notebook and pen to take notes.
  • You are welcome to bring your own refreshments, or they can be purchased from our on-site catering during normal business hours. A voucher will be available to participants for use on the day.
  • You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards should you wish to stop for lunch and a wander round.
