Workshop
This fun willow weaving workshop, led by Joe Gregory of Creative with Nature, is a great way to unwind by getting hands-on with a natural material while developing a new skill. This workshop is suitable for guests who want to enjoy, discover, or learn from it, regardless of their existing skill level; however, a degree of manual dexterity is required. You’ll learn some of the basics of willow weaving as you create functional and beautiful willow bird feeders. Garden birds love to perch on willow while nibbling tasty treats, so these are sure to be a welcome addition to any outside space. You'll work with the highest-quality English willow, and your final feeders will be biodegradable, with no plastic waste. Your beautiful bird feeder is sure to last for years to come, and the workshop will leave you with the skills to make more if you wish. You will need a degree of manual dexterity to work with willow. Tutor: Joe Gregory, Creative with Nature Joe started weaving as a hobby in 2004 and now has almost 20 years of teaching experience. Joe has her own weaving studios and also teaches for the Workers Education Association and as a Forest School Leader. Location and Arrival Information: The workshop will take place in the Learning Studios, situated within the Welcome Building. Catering: Tea and coffee will be available on arrival. For this workshop, you will need:All materials are provided. Please wear closed-toed shoes and practical clothing.
