Many plants with winter interest are scented, most are shade tolerant and some are adaptable to life in containers and can be moved in and out of the limelight according to the season. The sight and scent of these valuable plants can cheer up a dull time of the year. Join the RHS Garden Hyde Hall gardeners to help readdress the balance by learning about plants and combinations which can be used to bring colour, scent and style into the garden throughout the winter months.

Tutor: Amy Gill

Arrival Information:
  • The meeting point for this session is at front of house, in the Welcome Building. Please arrive in good time to register your arrival.
For this workshop:
  • The workshop is based on a walk-and-talk format, with some time in the classroom and some time outside, therefore we advise dressing appropriately for the weather.
  • We encourage bringing a notebook and pen to take notes.
  • You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards should you wish to stop for lunch and a wander round.
