The Art of Garden Photography

Join professional photographer Daniel Bridge for an enlightening one-day workshop focusing on garden and flower photography in the beautiful surroundings of RHS Garden Hyde Hall. 

Looking at composition, lighting, subject choice, and more, Daniel will guide you to great results. The day will consist of a morning slideshow and discussion, followed by an afternoon of practical photography in the garden, incorporating 1-2-1 time with each participant to address any issues, concerns, or subjects specific to them.

Arrival Information: 

• Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop starts to register your arrival and make your way to the classroom. 
• This workshop will take place at the Clore Learning Centre, located at the top of the hill, adjacent to the Gardeners Rest Restaurant. 

For this workshop:

• Tea and coffee will be available throughout.
• You are welcome to bring along a packed lunch, or the restaurant will be open from 10am to purchase food/refreshments. Please note that the restaurant can get busy during peak times, so when you arrive at the classroom, please ask a member of staff about pre-ordering.

What to bring:

• A camera! Whilst the workshop is mainly aimed at digital users, users of all types of cameras (film, SLR, compact system, bridge or compacts) will gain knowledge of their devices.
• Memory Cards/Film/Spare Batteries. Do ensure all batteries are fully charged.
• Any lenses/accessories you may have: you never know when you might need them.
• Footwear and Clothing suitable for a walk in the garden, including wet-weather gear (hopefully not required).
• A tripod, if you have one. Don’t worry if you don’t.
