Creative with Nature will lead you in this fun and practical weaving session teaching you how to make your own sustainable and durable willow plant obelisk.
 
Using the best quality English willow you will learn basic basketry techniques to create a sturdy piece that is ideal for growing climbing plants, such as sweet peas. Create a permanent feature for your garden that will last for years to come and is completely plastic free.
 
This RHS Garden Bridgewater workshop is suitable for beginners but please be aware that you will need strong hand and arm dexterity to be able to work the willow. 

Tutor: Joe Gregory, Creative with Nature 
Joe started weaving as a hobby in 2004 and now has almost 20 years teaching experience.  Joe has her own weaving studios and also teaches for the Workers Education Association and as a Forest School Leader.
Location and Arrival Information: The workshop will take place in the Learning Studios, situated within the Welcome Building
Catering: Tea & coffee will be available on arrival 
For this workshop you will need: All materials are provided. Please wear close toed shoes and practical clothing.
Skill Level: Beginner - I am keen to learn and to develop my experience and confidence
