In this workshop, tutor Anne Gunning will guide you on how to spend more time enjoying your garden and less time working on it.
 

Creating a low-maintenance garden is more sustainable for both the gardener and the environment. You will learn how to achieve a balanced ecosystem which both gardeners and wildlife can enjoy.
 

Anne will give tips and guidance on irrigation systems, conserving water, correct planting and staking, weed prevention, containers, lawns and how to look after your soil. 

  • Tutor: Anne Gunning is a highly experienced tutor with over 25 years of teaching RHS Level 2 and 3 qualifications. With a background in running a successful garden design business, Anne combines professional expertise with a passion for sharing knowledge. She also spent 7 years as an RHS Community Outreach Advisor, working closely with diverse groups to make horticulture accessible and inspiring.
  • Location and Arrival Information: the workshop will be held in the Learning Studio situated within the Welcome Building, with a short walk/wheel in the gardens, weather permitting
  • Catering: tea & coffee will be provided 
  • You will need: appropriate footwear and clothing for the day’s weather conditions.
